Barry Cohn

Barry has been studying Mussar since 2017 with a Vad in Los Angeles. He also teaches Mussar for CCM and at his home synagogue, HAMAKOM. Barry began his study to become a better human being in a Jewish context. Barry’s family says that he has grown in a few areas which align with a few character traits (Middot): Patience (Savlanut), Silence (Shtikah) and Equanimity (M’nuchat HaNefesh).

Barry holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from UCLA and an MBA from Pepperdine University. He and his wife, Renee, reside in West Hills, CA with their Goldendoodle, Mish, while their 5 children are responsible productive members of society and off the payroll, blessing us with 4 grandchildren.

His interests include the LA Dodgers, reading mysteries and spy novels, non-fiction, film noir, and all types of music except opera and hip-hop. He also is a student of Mussar, quantum physics and recently began Daf Yomi Talmud Study.
