Martha Hare, DMin (Jewish Spirituality), PhD (anthropology) lives in Maryland near Washington DC. She has been a long-time student of Mussar, mainly with the Center for Contemporary Mussar (CCM) where she completed her training as a Madricha (Leader) in 2022. Martha has been a member of the Adat Shalom Reconstructionist congregation in Bethesda MD for over 30 years, and is also involved with Tifereth Israel, a Conservative congregation in Washington DC. Martha holds certification in Spiritual Direction, and yoga teaching for children and for adults with accessibility issues.  Her DMin focused on antisemitism and collective trauma.  Martha seeks to integrate her diverse training and career experiences for a holistic approach to Mussar and community Jewish education.
